A project I created for myself to record feelings of being a father is to create an acrylic painting about my son every 2-3 years. The first painting was about his 0-2.9 years old unstoppable crying habit (he is a changed man now!). My next painting is already in my mind: Olgua is a person, like me, having a lot of dreams. At the age of 4, he starts to be able to verbalize his dreams to me. One very interesting dream is about a clown having fun turning people into balloons and then burst them. I intend to gather more of his dreams and make a painting in a year's time.
Last trip to Japan I got a mug which you can put a piece of paper inside to decorate its look. So I scanned this first painting of my son and added a few graphics from
Lie Fhung's digital scrapbooking elements to create a lovely mug for my wife's office use. Yes I added my avatar so that she can brag about her handsome husband in the office hehehe :)
20 years from now, we will have a wall of about 10 acrylic paintings dedicated to my son Olgua. He will bring his girlfriend(s) home and tell stories of his life. "Stories of his life", it is to be unfolded. I am eager to see that day to come.
