Now don't get too excited about these photos already, there's more at the end of this post.
There will be 6 more Passions journal launching early this year including Cat, Dog, Travel, Gardening, Style and Baby.
There will be 2 more StickNotes, very nice colors comparing to the previous cream only one.
Folio Professional Folder A4 will not be black alone, colors link pink, blue, … they will be volant-like colors if you know what I mean.
A series of products under the "Cover Art by the Moleskine Community" title will be showing up in various categories such as Cahiers and Diaries. From what I know, 3 artists who submitted their work to the community site got selected, each artist's design will appear on the cover and back of a set of two Cahier notebooks, the same image is printed in color on one notebook, and in sepia tone on another.
The works of Cover Art artists also invaded the diaries collection, making it less boring to carry around a black thing called Moleskine, yes I'm talking about the year 2012 diaries! 2 artists were selected, their work will appear on weekly diary/planner in both pocket and large size.
Here comes the product I love most so far. They are weekly diary/planners in Cahiers format. A lot thinner than a typical hard cover notebook, great to be carried alone or inserted into your other journal/covers (honestly great for my mind.Depositor 3 too). The paper used for the cover of this Cahiers Diary is pretty tough so I assume it will last longer than you would expect. The problem for me is which color to choose from, coz they are all beautiful, especially when they all sit together. I wish they were made for 4 quarters of a year, so each one represents one quarter, which also makes it practical to have week display on left and notes taking on right.
Now, the wait is over. Soon after Moleskine was being acquired by a French company in back in 2006, there were rumors saying that Moleskine was going to venture away from stationery-only products. It seemed a quick and dirty way to capitalize the brand's value through stamping the logo onto things we might not need. But the Moleskine geniuses (are we soon to compare the analog giant to its digital counterpart Apple?) did not rush disappointing fans. They did enhanced their diaries offer, ventured into citynotebooks, created special editions, grew stronger tie with the artist community and made up new lines like Passions and Folios before creating a concept which would wrap this year's huge expansion comfortably beneath. "Reading, Writing, Organizing, Traveling" is what the concept is about, what's to be unveiled in the coming April will be casually called non-paper products. They are super smart looking add-ons and guaranteed handsome to put on your body. Now, guess.
